Annual General Meeting

As an Incorporated Society, the Christchurch Schools' Music Festival Association Inc is required to hold an Annual General Meeting each year. At this meeting, the following business is transacted:

• The business of the association in the past year is reported upon.
• Officers of the Association are elected
• Subscriptions for the year are set
• Any rule changes are voted upon
• Members may raise any general matters for discussion

The Association organises the Festival on behalf of the participating schools, so it is important that schools involved in the Festival participate in the work of the Association by attending the Annual General Meeting.

Schools are the members of the association with membership vested in the principal. Each school can exercise two votes by two delegates nominated by the Principal.

Those schools with representatives at the 2008 AGM adopted a NEW CONSTITUTION for CSMFA. The previous one was last amended in 1970, so it was timely for a complete new, up-dated set of rules. Want to see a copy of the new Constitution? It's right here!
