Teachers’ Demonstration Meeting
One of the commitments that a school makes in applying to participate in the Festival is that a representative of the school will attend the Teachers’ Demonstration Meeting for the WHOLE meeting.
This indicates just how important the meeting is for the success of the Festival. Before a school starts putting effort into teaching the music to its choir, it is vital that the choir director knows how the conductors of the Festival will want the songs to sound.
At the Teachers’ Demonstration Meeting, your school will be provided with the song books you have ordered for your choir, a CD of the music, Teaching Notes and accompanist package. The conductors will play and sing through each song, amplifying the information provided in the Teaching Notes.
You will also be given notices for the children in your school of their audition times for the Special Groups for which they may applied. You can find your school’s Massed Rehearsal date and time and your school’s Performance Night on this website (see Home page).
